Service Description
This jam-packed class is designed for beginners and budding bakers. This hands-on class covers the essential journey of cake/cupcakes from raw ingredients to a finished masterpiece. Students learn the "how" and "why" behind every step and master accurate measuring (volume vs. weight), mixing methods, and identifying when a cake is perfectly baked. Learn the professional way to level layers, stack them securely, and apply a crumb coat—the secret to a flawless, crumb-free final finish. Whip up fluffy American buttercream from scratch and learn to tint it into vibrant, consistent colors using natural colors rather than food coloring. Students roll up their sleeves to mix, bake, and decorate. At the end of the session, students walk away with a fully decorated, 6-inch, two-layer, cake and ½ dozen decorated cupcakes ready to impress friends and family. This class is all about confidence and baking creativity. Expect big smiles, flour-dusted aprons, and loads of cake and cupcakes! NOTE: Summer hours for Friday Nite Live are 6:30-9:30 - an extra thirty minutes of cooking fun! On the Menu: 6" two layer cake from scratch Buttercream Icing from scratch Cupcakes from scratch Edible decorations bar NOTE: Summer Fun classes have a three-participant minimum. Please have participants wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and tie long hair back. Cellphones aren't allowed anywhere in kitchen or at the table. There will be a designated spot for belongings/cellphones. While parents/guardians are always welcome to watch, in our experience, participants are more apt to try new things when on their own. Feel free to drop-off.

What is your cancellation policy?
Due to the fact that our cooking classes require preparation, supplies, and perishable food items that must be purchased ahead of time we do not issue returns or refunds. No exceptions. A class exchange may be made for another class up to three days before the class date. No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be given three days or less before the class date. No-shows forfeit class with no refunds, returns, or exchanges. CAMP COOK, LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE ALL SERVICES OFFERED. In the event a service/class is cancelled, all participants will be notified, and full refunds given.
