After School Neurodiverse Teen Cooking Classes
Wednesdays 4:30-6:30pm

Need a fun after school activity for your neurodiverse teen?  Our themed series of cooking classes offer mindful, purposeful and cumulative learning opportunities.

  • See neurodiverse class information here.

  • See class schedule, descriptions, and menus here.

  • Each after school cooking class series is created to teach the essential culinary and life skill concepts all students need to learn for future independent living.

  • Learning to cook also hones skills in math, science, reading, comprehension, and cultural history.

  • Classes are small, hands-on with only six students per class to allow for optimal learning and individualized attention.

  • Each class students will learn and complete a recipe(s). The recipe(s) reinforces and builds upon the culinary concepts they are learning.

  • Bonus: Students will have the opportunity to sit and eat together giving yet another opportunity for honing valuable skills in communication.

  • Finally, students will clean up as a group.  Yet another valuable life skill.

  • Register for series of classes.  After first class day, if spots are still available, additional weeks are open for registration a la carte.

Our mission is to teach people to CONNECT and THRIVE in the kitchen.
