Service Description

Who said basics can’t be fun? These need-to-know basics build confidence for independently navigating in and around the kitchen! We’ll cover everyday tools, utensils and their uses, basic knife skills, kitchen safety 101, staple ingredients and their uses. In this class students focus on the most important tool in the kitchen - the knife. They will slice, dice, chop, and mince through vegetables and fruits incorporating what they learn into easy peasy recipes. Expect lots of fun, smiles, and recipes students will be proud to share (or eat themselves). This is a hands-on experience and students leave class with a basic set of functional knife skills. Menu: Easy Peasy & Cheesy Pasta w/Homemade Marinara Sauce (very veggie and beefy) Fruity Parfaits w/homemade whipped cream NOTE: This class has a three-participant minimum. Please have participants wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and tie long hair back. Cellphones aren't allowed anywhere in kitchen or at the table. There will be a designated spot for belongings/cellphones. While parents/guardians are always welcome to watch, in our experience, participants are more apt to try new things when on their own. Feel free to drop-off.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to the fact that our cooking classes require preparation, supplies, and perishable food items that must be purchased ahead of time we do not issue returns or refunds. No exceptions. A class exchange may be made for another class up to three days before the class date. No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be given three days or less before the class date. No-shows forfeit class with no refunds, returns, or exchanges. CAMP COOK, LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE ALL SERVICES OFFERED. In the event a service/class is cancelled, all participants will be notified, and full refunds given.
