Service Description

Presenting a very special five-day camp designed especially for neurodiverse teens 13+. This immersive and very hands-on experience crafted for the neurodiverse teen features camp days filled with purpose driven learning and guided activities where students learn culinary life skills, social skills, working in a group, real money and meal planning 101, grocery shopping 101, and much more. 1-4pm Monday: The Road Map We cover the itinerary for the week, students learn their project and roles for the week, get-to-know-you activities, and then finish out the camp day with a high-energy cooking activity focusing on working together to accomplish a goal. Take home activity to prepare for Tuesday. 1-4pm Tuesday: What's the Vibe? It is teamwork day. Students name their project, focus on project creation and details, planning/prep for grocery store field trip with guided instruction, team building cooking activities. Take home activity to prepare for Wednesday. 1-4pm Wednesday: Let's Go Grocery Shopping Grocery shopping 101, money matters, purposeful meal planning and shopping? Yes, please. Students take a grocery store field trip they have planned and prepared for where they get to independently shop and pay for their project items. We end the camp day with a high energy cooking activity. Take home activity to prepare for Thursday. 1-4pm Thursday: Purposeful Planning & Prep The camp day is filled with high energy in the kitchen as students put their project details and skills to work to prepare for their big event on Friday. Take home activity to prepare for Friday. 1-5pm Friday: It's Go Time! Students have prepared all week for this day, and it is their time to shine and show off skills learned! Two family members of each student are cordially invited to a very special event planned, hosted, and served by students. We promise you will be impressed and leave with a full tummy too! Registration for this day camp includes sixteen hours of cooking camp fun, a notebook for each student; a personalized keepsake apron with their name; all ingredients, supplies and recipes; grocery shopping field trip; special event ingredients/supplies for students and family members; a week of life skill building and learning designed to inspire creativity and independence sprinkled with lots of fun memories too!
