Cool Cultural Cuisines 4-Class Series

Service Description

Get your passports ready! We will travel to a different country each week to explore the people, their food customs in the month of October, and local flavors of favorite cuisines. Other countries differ widely on their October celebrations and customs. Oh, and the cuisines are just so yummy! Join us for some wonderful recipes that are centered in family celebrations. Costa Rica, Mexico, France, and Italy are textures and flavors to be experienced this month. WEEK 1 October 1: Central America Cuisine Focus: Costa Rican Custom: El Dia de Masquerada - Day of the Masquerade BONUS: Mary, our Culinary & Life Skills Coach has lived in Costa Rica during October and experienced this celebration and cuisine first hand! WEEK 2 October 8: Mexico Cuisine Focus: Mexican Street Food - "Antojitos" Custom: Dia de Los Muertos - Day of the Dead WEEK 3 October 15: Europe - France Cuisine Focus: French Custom: Salon du Chocolat - Literally 'Salon of Chocolate' This is a celebration of all things chocolate and cocoa! WEEK 4 October 22: Europe - Italy Cuisine Focus: Italian Custom: Ognissanti - All Saints Day NOTE: Specific menus posted one month prior to classes beginning. This class meets for 4-weeks on Tuesday afternoons from 4-6pm. Afterschool classes have a four-participant minimum. While parents/guardians are always welcome to watch, in our experience, participants are more apt to try new things when on their own. Feel free to drop-off.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to the fact that our cooking classes require preparation, supplies, and perishable food items that must be purchased ahead of time we do not issue returns or refunds. No exceptions. A class exchange may be made for another class up to three days before the class date. No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be given three days or less before the class date. No-shows forfeit class with no refunds, returns, or exchanges. CAMP COOK, LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE ALL SERVICES OFFERED. In the event a service/class is cancelled, all participants will be notified, and full refunds given.
