Service Description

We will learn about different countries and their cultural cuisines. Costa Rica, Mexico, France, and Italy are a few flavors to be experienced this week. Expect to arrive in different countries each day. Of course, sprinkled into every class are basic knife skills, safety, ingredient knowledge, tool and utensil how-to. Get your passports ready! Cuisine Focus: Costa Rican & Mexican These recipes are traditional cuisines which aren't intimidating. They are simple, yummy and non-spicy. And, our instructor, Mary has lived in and traveled to both of these countries! Concepts Focus: Sauté, Bake, Knife Skills -Chop Menu: Traditional Costa Rican Gallo Pinto (rice and beans) Traditional Costa Rican Casado (chicken, beans, rice, plantains) Traditional Mexican Elote (street corn) Homemade Mayo NOTE: Summer Camp has a four-participant minimum. Please have participants wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and tie long hair back. Cellphones aren't allowed anywhere in kitchen or at the table. There will be a designated spot for belongings/cellphones. While parents/guardians are always welcome to watch, in our experience, participants are more apt to try new things when on their own. Feel free to drop-off.


What is your cancellation policy?

Due to the fact that our cooking classes require preparation, supplies, and perishable food items that must be purchased ahead of time we do not issue returns or refunds. No exceptions. A class exchange may be made for another class up to three days before the class date. No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be given three days or less before the class date. No-shows forfeit class with no refunds, returns, or exchanges. CAMP COOK, LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE ALL SERVICES OFFERED. In the event a service/class is cancelled, all participants will be notified, and full refunds given.
