SUMMER 2008
Each of our unique programs offer participants individualized attention in a safe environment from a professional and caring leadership team. Participants will learn about weights, measures, ingredients and their uses, how to use tools and utensils, how to interpret and follow a recipe, basic cooking skills, basic table manners and etiquette, table setting, and kitchen safety 101. We present and teach curriculum creatively and age appropriately. Because our curriculum is very "hands-on", we limit the size of our sessions/classes to a maximum of 12 participants. We provide all materials, containers, ingredients, and utensils required. Participants receive a copy of each recipe they cook, a chef's hat, and are eligible for membership to our free Cooking Club. Parents receive a copy of "What's Cookin'?" to promote parental discovery of what their children are learning.
Day Camp: Kindergartners -5th Grade. Our day camp program is Monday -Thursday, with three cooking sessions during the day. We have "wiggle time" and fun activities in between for those participants who are with us throughout the day. We offer before and after camp activities from 7:30 -9:15am, and 4:45 -6:00pm respectively. Participants will prepare, cook, and eat one recipe during each session. Session one recipes are breakfast fare, session two recipes are lunch/dinner fare, and session three recipes are desserts.
