Lil Adventurers-Preschool

Preschool-Lil' Adventurers (3-6 year olds)

Mommy/Daddy & Me

Lil' Adventurers and their mommy/daddy/caregiver are invited join us for hands-on fun!

  • Classes are wonderfully designed for you and your preschooler to attend together.
  • We explore our senses and motor skills with creative, themed recipes and activities.
  • Preschoolers and their mommy/daddy/caregiver will enjoy cooking together, trying new foods, and making new friends.  Enjoy the fun and leave the mess with us!
  • Cost: $20 per class, includes 1 adult and 1 child (additional $10 per child for children in same family)

SCHEDULE: 10-11:30am

  • Saturday's: Weekly classes Sept. 11 - Nov. 20 (no class Thanksgiving weekend) 

Books and Cooks: Story Time Fun!

An outstanding and unique class designed around favorite children's books especially designed for preschoolers.

  • Each class is designed around a favorite children's story, with coordinating recipe and activity. You will never listen to your favorite books the same way again!
  • Participants are grouped by age in small groups to experience learning at just the right level.
  • This is a drop off program unless otherwise specified.
  • This class coordinates with several adult classes to allow moms/dads to have cooking fun too!
  • Class time: 10:00 - 11:30am.
  • Choose weekly OR bi-weekly classes.
  • Cost: $20 per class

BOOKS AND COOKS SCHEDULE: 10-11:30am (coordinates with Adult classes)

  • Tuesday's: Weekly classes Aug. 31 - Nov.30 (no class Thanksgiving week)  
  • Wednesday's:  Weekly classes Sept. 1- Dec. 1 (no class Thanksgiving week)
  • Friday's: Bi-weekly classes, Friday, Sept.10 - Dec. 3 (no class Thanksgiving week)

  • Italian Meatball and Cheese Tortellini Soup

    Ingredients:

    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1 onion, diced
    • 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
    • 2 quarts beef stock
    • 1 (12 ounce) can diced tomatoes
    • 1/2 cup green beans
    • 1/2 cup diced carrot
    • 1/2 cup chopped kale
    • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 pound frozen, cooked Italian-style meatballs - thawed
    • 1 pound fresh cheese tortellini
    • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

    Directions:

    1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium-high heat; cook the onion and garlic in the melted butter until tender, 5 to 7 minutes. Pour the beef stock into the pot; add the tomatoes, green beans, carrot, kale, Italian seasoning, and bay leaf. Bring the mixture to a boil. Stir in the meatballs and tortellini; return to a boil and cook another 5 minutes. Ladle into bowls and top each with about 1 teaspoon Parmesan cheese to serve.
